About Sandustry Toolkit

A small, unofficial site of calculators and fix-it guides for Sandustry.

Why this exists

Sandustry already has an official wiki, and it is the right place to look something up. What no one had built was the layer above that: the arithmetic you do when you are deciding how many shakers a line needs, and the answers to the specific ways a factory breaks.

Those are the two things here. A calculator that sizes a gold line from rates you measure yourself, a planner for research order, and a set of guides that each start from a problem a real player posted and end with the fix that worked for them.

The one editorial rule

Nothing gets published without a source, and where the game has not published a number, the site saysNot documented rather than printing a convincing guess. Factory players plan real builds around ratio tables; a table that looks authoritative and is invented does more damage than an empty one. The full policy and the complete source list are on the sources page.

What is coming

Sandustry ships with modding support and content definition files. Once those can be read from the Early Access build, the undocumented throughput and cost fields will be generated directly from the game data rather than transcribed, and the labels on those fields will change from Not documented to Confirmed. A production chain planner and a layout library follow from there.

Corrections

If a page here contradicts what your game does, the game is right. Every claim carries its source link so you can check the original, and corrections are made in place with the build version updated.
