Sources & editorial policy

The rules

1. No claim ships without a source. Every factual statement is bound in code to a source entry; a claim with no source cannot be rendered.
2. Confidence is shown, not implied. Statements are labelled Confirmed, Community-reported, Estimate or Not documented, and you can see which is which without clicking through.
3. We do not fill gaps with plausible numbers. Where no throughput or cost figure has been published, the field says so. A calculator seeded with invented rates is worse than no calculator.
4. Build versions are stated. Sandustry changes between builds. Each guide records which build the behaviour was observed against.
5. Corrections are welcome and are made in place. If something here is wrong, the source links are there so you can check it yourself.

What this site is not

This is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Lantto Games or Hooded Horse. It is also not trying to be an encyclopedia — Sandustry has anofficial wiki, and for reference lookups you should use it. This site covers the arithmetic and the failure modes.
